Tips to Mainting A Good Value on Your Modern Coin Sets

Hello!  Many people have begun selling us their proof sets, commemorative coins, and proof coins and we have been noticing a lot of damage to the packaging and/or coins.  This damage lowers the value of these sets and I want everyone to know how to maintain the best value on their modern coin sets.

Here are a few tips:
1. Do not write anywhere on the packaging.  This includes the box and the certificates of authenticity.

2. Do not put tape or stickers on the packaging.  Even removable stickers/tape can leave a stain on the box.

3. Do not take the coins out of their capsules.  This will have the most damaging effect to the value of your coins.

4. Do not smash or tear the boxes.

Follow these steps, and you'll be closer to maintaining a good value for your modern coin sets.

Thanks,
Staci

2010 Proof Silver Eagles

Hello!

The U.S. Mint has officially announced its production of 2010 Proof Silver Eagles.  These coins will be made available in late November.  Check back with us then for availability updates, just in time for the Holidays!  Expect these coins to cost $40-$50 due to the high price of silver.

Thanks!

Record Highs

Plenty of people are currently paying attention to the precious metals markets as they continue to soar to new record prices on virtually a daily basis.  National news outlets are taking note of the dramatic price increases that the silver and gold markets are experiencing, and rightly so.  We have been swept up in a month+ long rise in metals prices as the dollar continues to sink against global currencies such as the Euro.

If you are not paying attention I urge you to do your research, watch the markets daily, and plan carefully.  There is a lot of action happening in the market as people continue to buy and sell.  Good luck!

Metals Correction

Hello everyone!

Today seems to bring with it a correction in the spot prices of Gold and Silver.  A correction means that prices have fallen back when the trend has been upward movement.  Many people, including me, have been expecting this correction for some time and it will be interesting to see just how far down the metals will be able to correct.

Many people are taking this opportunity to jump in to the silver and gold markets, as they expect that prices will soon rebound and go even higher than they were previous to today's correction.  Others are selling in fears that this correction will continue downward.

For those of you that are considering buying while the silver price is down, I would like to suggest 90% silver coin.  I have discussed this form of silver in previous posts, but would like to once again highlight it as it is currently the only silver product available to you right at spot price in lots of $500.00 face or more.

Come in and talk to one of our associates today and we can help you with whatever questions you may have or transactions you would like to complete!

Thanks,
Staci
